Given the avalanche of successful book-to-screen adaptations that have descended upon Hollywood in recent years—think House of the Dragon, Daisy Jones and the Six and Bridgerton—it’s the best time to be a reader who is also a couch potato because there is no end in sight when it comes to movies and TVs based on bestselling novels.
Blake Lively is set to star in the highly anticipated movie version of one of Colleen Hoover‘s most beloved novels, It Ends With Us, while the author gets to work adapting another tome, 2018’s Verity, for the big screen.
And perhaps you’ve heard a little something about a movie featuring Anne Hathaway, Nicholas Galitzine and a complicated but gripping love affair?
“I needed to bring everything to this one,” the actress told E! News of taking on the role of Solène, the art gallery owner who falls hard for 24-year-old boy bander Hayes, in Robinne Lee‘s The Idea of You. “I really, really did. Things I don’t like thinking about—you know, certain states that you’re left in at the end of a disastrous relationship. You have to kind of go back there.”
