The official website of the Zegapain: STA (Zegapain: Statement Alpha) sequel anime movie unveiled additional cast, staff, a trailer, and a key visual (pictured) on Tuesday. The anime movie is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on August 16.

Masami Shimoda (11eyes) is helming the anime movie at Sunrise. Katsuhiko Takayama (Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru) is in charge of the screenplay. Akihiko Yamashita (Strange Dawn), Tatsuya Suzuki (Kakumeiki Valvrave), and Marie Tagashira (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) are designing the characters. Ayako Otsuka (Aquarion Evol) is composing the music.
The original Zegapain anime series aired in 26 episodes in Spring 2006. The story follows Kyou Sogoru, an ordinary high school student who is led by a mysterious transfer student, Misaki Shizuno, and gets involved in a battle against giant robots in another world.
The Zegapain ADP summary movie opened in Japan in October 2016. The movie, featuring new scenes, commemorated the anime’s 10th anniversary.
