CHAR Mix at InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun
InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun has invited Roy Pan, executive chef of Regent Chongqing, and Kevin Wang, executive sous chef of InterContinental Xi‘an North, to combine the best of Chinese and Western style cooking. Along with Juli Lewa, the executive pastry chef at InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun, and Steven Qian, CHAR chef de cuisine, they are presenting an unprecedented food feast of eight kinds of dishes for the “CHAR mix”.
Steven Qian, who has focused Western food for more than 10 years, presents two starters—smoked tomato salmon and sweet shrimp green beans caviar cuttlefish chips—as a light start to this culinary journey. Roy Pan has more than 20 years of experience in the art of dining. He has designed a Uroko-Yaki snapper with Sichuan spicy sauce to wake up your taste buds, as well as Australian Ranger Valley M5 ribeye cap. Kevin Wang blends the ancient charm of Xi’an with modern flavors. The seafood and mellow local snacks complement each other to offer an unprecedented food adventure. Juli Lewa’s peach blossom tree dessert is the perfect ending to the meal.
