Card games, football and more!
- Apple Arcade’s newest update is here for early September
- It includes the addition of NFL Retro Bowl ’25, Monster Train+ and Puzzle Sculpt
- There’s also the announcement of upcoming titles like Balatro+ and NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition
It’s a day ending with a ‘y’ and you know what that means! Yes, Apple Arcade, the iPhone maker’s subscription gaming service, is getting another update. This time around it’s some major new additions to the platform, as well as the announcement of some upcoming releases that you may have already heard about. So let’s dig in!
- NFL Retro Bowl ’25: After we previously announced this title would be an update to the already-released Retro Bowl, this new update has gone live and added official NFL branding and teams.
- Monster Train+: This deck-building roguelike sees you pilot a train through the freezing climbs of hell after an invasion by heaven puts out the last of its fire. Fight to relight the fires, for better or for worse.
- Puzzle Sculpt: The odd one out here, Puzzle Sculpt is a spatial game built for the Apple Vision Pro. It’s a relatively simple puzzle game that uses the spatial tools of the device, but for Vision Pro users it’s always welcome to have more.
Arcade madness
As for what else is right around the corner, the biggest news is, of course, the indie hit Balatro+ hitting Apple Arcade on September 26th. Meanwhile, in October you’ll see the arrival of games like NBA 2K25 Arcade Edition, Food Truck Pup+, Furistas Cat Cafe+ and Smash Hit+.
