In a recent episode of Media Dialogues with Storyboard18, Shubhranshu Singh, Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Motors CVBU, and Rohan Chincholi, Chief Digital Officer at Havas Media India, discussed the transformative role of AI in social media and marketing. The conversation, led by Storyboard18’s editor Delshad Irani, touched on the evolution of social media and the integration of AI tools in shaping the future of marketing.

Shubhranshu Singh highlighted how social media has shifted from its original, organic roots to a platform driven by algorithms. With AI now playing a significant role, Singh noted, social media will transform in terms of scale, speed, and content churn, potentially making brand culture more homogenous. He stressed the need for marketers to humanise social media amid the rise of synthetic media and AI-driven content.

Rohan Chincholi focused on AI’s dual impact on content creation and audience segmentation, saying, “The scale at which content can be created is phenomenal.” However, he emphasised the importance of maintaining a human touch, despite AI’s growing role in content curation and advertising.

Both experts agreed that AI will disrupt major sectors like digital media, eCommerce, and cloud computing, reshaping the future of marketing.
