Their final game, held at the Barclays Center on Sunday (Oct. 20), was a nail-biter as they went up against the Minnesota Lynx. However, the Liberty held strong, securing a 67-62 victory that left fans roaring with excitement.
As first-time championship winners, not only does this victory mark a monumental achievement for the team, but it also highlights the vibrant spirit of the fans —and their iconic mascot, Ellie the Elephant.
