‘SNL’ Monologue: Chris Rock Predicts Trump, Musk-Led Deportations Through ‘SpaceMex’

“Nobody knows how to get rid of people like a South African,” the comedian jokes about the SpaceX CEO

Comedian and four-time Saturday Night Live guest host Chris Rock touched on several current events in his monologue, at one point previewing how the next Trump administration will carry out deportations with the help of MAGA devotee Elon Musk.

First, though, Rock took issue with complaints about Trump being “undignified” while in office.

“Dude. It’s the United States,” joked Rock, who was making his first SNL appearance since the Season 46 finale in May 2021. “We’ve had some presidents in the United States. Come on, man. This is not the most dignified job in the world. We’ve had presidents show up to the inauguration with pregnant slaves, okay? And I’m just talking about Bill Clinton.”

“I mean, you know what country we live in. You know the history of this country. You know how many rapists are in my wallet right now? A cup of coffee in America costs seven rapists!” he continued. “Trump’s going to get it down to three.”

As for Trump’s plans for mass deportations, Rock joked about how the Menendez brothers’ potential release may be ill-timed.

“Just in time to get deported,” he quipped.

“Trump is not playing, man. That’s right. This time it’s totally different. He’s working with the number one African American in the world, the richest African American in the world: Elon Musk,” he went on.
“Nobody knows how to get rid of people like a South African.”

“Oh, he’s serious. Trump is not playing. He’s got Elon. They’re going to put them in a rocket ship–call it ‘SpaceMex,’” Rock joked, alluding to Musk’s company, SpaceX.

Also on the topic of immigration, Rock referenced how MLB outfielder Juan Soto signed one of the most lucrative contracts in baseball history this week when he agreed to join the New York Mets.

“You know, a lot less immigrants would come into America if you’d stop paying them $700 million to play baseball,” he joked. “[Mets owner] Steve Cohen bought one Dominican for $700 million. You used to be able to get a whole bushel for that much!”

Among the other topics Rock addressed was the current president, and his pardon of son Hunter for tax and gun-related crimes.

“I got to hand it to Joe, man,” Rock said. “He don’t move as fast as he used to. He don’t talk as fast as he used to, you know–but that middle finger still works!”
