‘Laziest performer’ Mariah Carey sparks fan concern with ‘stiff’ video from Las Vegas residency
Fans expressed concern for Mariah Carey after videos went viral of her looking “stiff” as she walked across the stage during one of her Celebration of Mimi residency shows at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
In one video, Carey was singing “Fantasy” when she took a few steps to the side of the stage and continued singing while a backup dancer busted moves around her.
Carey stayed in the same spot for a few moments before wandering back to centerstage and belting out the rest of the song.
The Grammy winner, 55, was wearing a pink bodysuit with a pink sheer tulle skirt that fell below her tall platform heels.
The same Instagram user shared another video of Carey in the all-pink outfit singing a different tune as she sauntered from backstage to the microphone stand in the middle of the stage.
A third video showed Carey wearing a gold sparkly look while taking another few steps to the side and hitting her high notes.

Despite looking moving a little slower during the show, Carey still appeared to be in good spirits and was smiling while belting out all her lyrics.
The videos started gaining traction this week, and fans began speculating on her well-being in the comments.
“Why is she moving like she’s 105 years old?” one person asked in the Instagram comments.
“I’m a little worried about my Mimi❤️,” someone else shared.
Another user noted that she looked “stiff as a board” while someone else wrote that she could “hardly move.”
“Is she ok? Or am watching in slow motion,” another user wrote in the comments.
Some social media users wondered if Carey’s heels were inhibiting her performance and suggested that she should “start wearing flats.”
“Is she in pain? What is going on?” someone asked.
Meanwhile, other people slammed Carey for the lack of “energy” –– with one person writing, “Laziest performer in the world.”
Carey’s rep didn’t return Page Six’s request for comment, and Carey has not responded to the comments.
The “Emotions” songstress will continue her residency through Saturday night.
Prior to her residency, Carey performed several Christmas concerts in November and December. However, she had to cancel one of her shows after she came down with the flu.
