Xbox Sales Charts Dominated By EA & Microsoft In The US To Kick Off 2025

An interesting start to the year

Today, analyst firm Circana (formerly NPD), has revealed some interesting facts & figures about how the gaming industry is performing at the start of 2025 – and we thought Xbox’s game sales chart for last month was quite interesting to look at.
The top 10 best-selling games on Xbox last month were all published by either EA or Microsoft. This ranking is for US sales only and doesn’t count add-ons – but yep, Xbox & EA completely dominated the list with five games each.
It’s also quite interesting that 2021 Xbox Game Pass title Forza Horizon 5 made the list; more than three years after its initial launch. We’d hazard a guess that the hype around the game has grown since Microsoft’s announcement of a PS5 port – which has seemingly led to more sales on Xbox as well.
As for the rest of the list, well, there aren’t any huge surprises we suppose – the chart is dominated by Call of Duty, Minecraft and a plethora of EA Sports titles. Subsequent months should look a bit more varied; with more new games releasing as we move past the January dry patch.
