Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean, gives birth to first baby with Tony Hawk’s son Riley: ‘Welcome to the world’
Frances Bean Cobain is now a mom!
The daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain announced on Instagram late Saturday night that she and her husband, Tony Hawk’s eldest son, Riley Hawk, welcomed a baby boy earlier this month.
“9.17.2024. Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk 🩵,” she captioned the post.
“✨ Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything ✨.”
Frances, 32, shared black-and-white photos of the newborn snuggled up in a blanket and of her holding his little fingers.
The visual artist also shared a snap of Riley, 31, lovingly gazing at the baby as he held him in his arms.
Tony, 56, gushed over the new addition to his family in the comments section of the post, writing that Ronin was his “favorite grandson.”
The infant comes less than a year after Frances and the professional skateboarder tied the knot.
The duo exchanged vows on Oct. 7, 2023, a month after obtaining a marriage license in San Diego.
Frances’ godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, allegedly officiated the ceremony.

The model and Riley are believed to have begun dating in early 2021. However, the couple did not go public with their romance until the following year.
In February 2022, Frances shared a PDA pic with the athlete within a slideshow.
“I wanted to share a few moments that were captured / created this past year that brought me a great amount of joy,” she wrote at the time after taking a year-long break from the social media platform.
Frances was previously married to musician Isaiah Silva from 2014 to 2017.
After they split, they were engaged in a lengthy court battle over one of Kurt’s guitars.
Silva, 39, got the singer’s instrument and sold it at an auction for $6 million.
The Nirvana singer died by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in April 1994.
