Lady Gaga Shows Off Her Poker Face for Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test

When Lady Gaga sat down to take Vanity Fair’s lie detector test, she made an immediate bond with the test administrator. “I feel like you know the truth about, like, my soul that I don’t know,” she said. “I wanna know if I’m being honest.”
The pop star, whose new album Mayhem will be released March 7, returned to a few of her old songs during the test, answering one longtime fan mystery. When asked if the 2010 video for “Telephone,” which ended with a card that read, “To be continued,” would get a sequel, Gaga answered with a clear “yes.” As for whether Beyoncé might reprise her role in the video, that question got a “maybe.”
The lie detector test left her “shaking,” she said, but the singer admitted that she often feels nervous on stage. “Sometimes I just feel nervous to perform, because I care.”
She said she didn’t have much memory of appearing on the MTV reality show The Hills back in 2008, but she loved her 2010 tribute episode on Glee. She even went so far as to call herself a “Gleek” when prompted by the examiner. “I’m a Gleek. I love Glee,” she said. “I love all the actors on Glee, and I love the show.” (That earned a “She’s telling the truth” from the examiner.)
Though one of the pop star’s breakout singles was called “Poker Face,” she admitted that she isn’t sure if she has one. “I actually don’t have a good poker face,” she said, tentatively. But after some feedback from the lie detector, she changed her mind. “So I do have a good poker face!”
